TWO people had to be freed by fire crews after a car crash in New Inn near Pontypool last night.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident outside The Teazer on The High Way, shortly before 6pm.

Fire fighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the casualties, who were then taken to hospital.
