A FATHER and son will stand trial after they denied requiring another man to perform forced or compulsory labour at a farm near Newport.
Daniel Doran, 67, and his son David Daniel Doran, 42, of Cariad Farm, Peterstone, near Newport, both denied the allegation, said to have taken place against Darrell Simester between April 6, 2010, and March 1, 2013, at a hearing at Cardiff Crown Court today.
The trial has been scheduled for March 17, with another preliminary hearing to take place before that on February 17. Both men were released on bail.
