RESIDENTS in parts of Tendring will be able to recycle their green waste for the first time as part of a pilot scheme.
The two-year scheme will be offered to homes in Clacton, Harwich, Frinton and Walton but homeowners will be expected to pay for the collection.
Tendring is currently the only council in Essex not to provide some form of garden waste collection service.
The new collection will cost residents £50 per year for the council to dispose of their green waste, with an additional £25 one-off fee for a wheelie bin.
