UPDATE 5.10pm: The pair were rescued at 4.39pm using an inflatable walkway. The boat was not needed.
A MAN and his dog are stuck in the mud on the banks of the Wye near Tintern Abbey.
Fire fighters from Chepstow, line rescue from Malpas and Ebbw Vale, a boat from Malpas and appliances from Gloucester are all en route to help the pair.
Emergency services received the call shortly before 4pm.
