AN USK-based beauty salon is celebrating a landmark anniversary.
Businesswoman and beauty therapist, Mel Boothman-Cannon, of Langstone, has run her salon Perfect Image in the town for 25 years.
She first opened in a rented room at the back of a hairdresser’s at 65A Bridge Street.
Three years later the salon re-located next door to number 65, before moving to bigger premises at 6 Bridge Street five years ago.
Ms Boothman-Cannon said: “It has gone from strength to strength and I now employ five highly-trained staff, as well as myself, and have four treatment rooms.”
“Usk has really looked after me. We are like a family here and pride ourselves on going that extra mile for customers, including opening until 10pm on a Thursday night and paying attention to detail.”
