CHILDREN watched in awe as birds of prey stopped at a shopping centre in Newport.
Hoo Hoo, the European Eagle-Owl, was one of the star attractions at the Kingsway precinct during half term. Other predatory birds included Mr Black, the Red Kite, and Teddy, the Snowy Owl.
The shopping mall hosted the family event with bird handlers Roger James and June Rogers. “It’s fantastic for children to be able to see such wonderful animals up close,” a Kingsway spokeswoman said.
“We hope to see the birds back again soon.”
