POLICE have appealed for information after an assault left a man with head injuries in Newport on Wednesday night.

The incident happened in Robin’s Lane, off George Street, Newport at around 10.25pm on Wednesday, March 5th.

Police would like to speak to a man, pictured on the CCTV image, in connection with the incident after a 47-year-old man was assaulted.

The man is described as white, in his early twenties, 5’10” tall and with short dark hair. He was wearing a hi-viz sleeveless jacket which has orange shoulders and a logo on the back. If anyone has information or can identify the man police would like to speak to they are asked to call Gwent Police on 101 and quote log number 513 05/03/14.

for a county that relies on CCTV so much, we sure have poor images from them...
what is the point in having CCTV that dont give you a clear and decent image of someone??

Newport Council procures their CCTV cameras through a worm hole that leads back to the 90s...
