ONE person was taken to hospital after lorry and caravan collided on the Second Severn Crossing this afternoon.
The collision involved a lorry and a caravan, Avon and Somerset Police said.
A casualty was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.
Avon Fire & Rescue Service also dealt with the incident at around 3.40pm.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 3.42pm today to reports of a road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the M4, near junction 23.
“A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and an ambulance officer attended, and one casualty was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport.”
Avon and Somerset Police said that the Gwent Police force were now dealing with the accident.
