TWO teenagers from Caerphilly county are taking part in a charity skydive next weekend to raise funds for the children’s hospice for Wales, Ty Hafan.
Ellie Sage, 17, deputy head girl at Cwmcarn High School, and former pupil Gemma Babur, 18, who now studies animal management at Usk College, will be doing the daredevil stunt of jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet on April 12 in a bid to raise £1,000 for the charity.
“It’s really close to our hearts and it’s something everyone has heard of but doesn’t now much about,” explained Ellie. “If anything happened to either of us, that would be the charity we would go to.”The girls, who sold cakes at school , have raised £230 so far.
