THE second series of a prime time BBC show has now begun filming on location in Chepstow.

The stars of the family fantasy drama Atlantis have returned to a warehouse at Newhouse Farm Industrial Estate to film the 13-part series.

The fantasy drama, created by Urban Myth Films for BBC One through BBC Cymru Wales and co-produced by BBC America, appeared on our screens for the first time in September of last year, but filming began in part of the former Tesco coldstore building in Chepstow a year ago.

The cast, which includes, Jack Donnelly, Robert Emms,Sarah Parish and Juliet Stevenson, return to the drama, with new additions Vincent Regan and Amy Mason.

There will also be guest appearances by Robert Pugh, from Game of Thrones and The White Queen, and Peter de Jersey, from Broadchurch and Holby City in episode one.

Written by Howard Overman, the drama takes viewers on a journey through the vast store of Greek myths and legends re-imagined for a new generation.

Fans were rocked by the shocking reveal at the end of the first series that Paisphae, played by Sarah Parish, was in fact Jason’s mother. Parish is currently filming scenes that involve a dramatic shift of power in the kingdom.
