Bulldog covered in sores and engine oil found in Nantyglo

South Wales Argus: Bulldog found covered in sores and engine oil found in Nantyglo Bulldog found covered in sores and engine oil found in Nantyglo

THE owner of a bulldog found struggling to walk and covered in sores and engine oil is being hunted by the RSPCA.

The badly injured British bulldog was found wandering outside the Cwmcrachen traveller site in Nantyglo by a member of the public on Wednesday 9 April 2014.

She was very thin, weak and her back end was covered in engine oil.

Inspector Emma Smith said: “This poor dog was in a bad way when we picked her up. She was skinny, lethargic and had suffered a lot of fur loss possibly because of an untreated skin condition. She had a lot of painful red sores and mysteriously was covered in oil. Her teats were enlarged possibly because she’s given birth recently. “She wasn’t microchipped or wearing a collar but she is a lovely, friendly dog and has a very distinctive colour, so I am hopeful that someone will recognise her”.

Anyone with information can call the Inspector’s information line in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018 and leave a message for Inspector Smith.

If you would like to help the RSPCA, you can give £3 now by texting HELP to 78866 (Text costs £3 + one standard network rate message).

The reasons why they kill healthy dogs? Where does your information come from? And can you tell me more? not that I donate to them I think people (the public) should be made aware of these statements you make. This article is not about the RSPCA but about this poor dog being at the mercy of humans ( I use the term humans) they are not humans but lowlife. How can anybody who is normal do this to an animal of any type.

Yes the article is about the poor dog, but underneath they ask you to donate. And ask the R£PCA the 70 or so healthy dogs the put to sleep over ringland kennels a few years ago.

well said again john .people should even if its just out of curiosity do some research on the RSPCA .they have degenerated into basically an urban terrorist group now .the animals in theyre care are kept in stinking conditions up and down the country with only death to look forward to .this is fact not fiction .

There are a number of chsrities that use people to foster dogs and cats to rescue them from the rspca as they only have a limited time in their kennels then they are killed. The same applies to council pounds if claimed in a few weeks they are killed

do you not think then with millions the rspca receive in donations ,properties. etc they should spend more on actually keeping these animals alive and build even bigger kennels then.instead of wasting millions on unwinnable private prosecutions and massive pay rises to theyre executives.after all they tell the public through theyre bleeding hearts advertising that they are rescuing and saving the lives of thousands of animals yet in fact the complete opposite is true

agreed, my experiences with them over the years is very negative.. you cannot even get information on any animals handed in to them via the phone anymore, you have to go to some 3rd party website.

They make me so angry!

Yup, if you're going to donate to an animal charity, you can't get any finer than the PDSA
