AN 85-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital after his car crashed into a medical centre.

The car hit the Avicenna Medical Centre.

A member of staff at the centre said the car went through a fence and into the front wall of the building. The man is not seriously injured, according to Gwent Police, who are looking into the incident.

UPDATE: 3.01pm

A CAR hit a building in Pontllanfraith on Blackwood Road earlier today.

Firefighters from Aberbargoed were called to the incident at 12.36pm, but the person had since got out of the vehicle uninjured.
