 A FOUR foot long snake has been stolen from a Newport pet shop Gwent Police said today.

The non-venomous rat snake was stolen along with three African grey parrots (two males and one female) and up to 20 chain dog leads.

The shop on Wharf Road in Newport was broken into some time between 5pm yesterday and 9am today.

If anyone has information they are asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 102 16/4/14
