A CAR containing two people has come off the road between Tintern and Brockweir on the A466.
The ambulance, fire fighters from Malpas and Monmouth, and Gwent Police have all been called to the incident which happened at 3.15pm.

4.17pm South Wales Fire and Rescue Service: A vehicle left the roadway down an embankment. Fire crews are committing a line rescue to assist casualty from embankment.

4.32pm The vehicle travelled 30 metres down from the roadway, SWFRS say. One casualty has been assisted to safety by crews using line rescue safe systems.

SWFRS said only one person was travelling in the car which came off the road.
No-one was hurt the spokesman added.

5.45pm A man of 65, the driver of a silver Volkswagen Polo, was conscious but breathing and had chest pains, police say. He and a women passenger have been taken to Frenchay Hospital, Bristol. The road will be closed for the next hour at the Brockweir turning.
