MUSICAL theatre students are getting set to put their skates on to perform the roller skating extravaganza ‘Starlight Express’.

However, the budding actors, who study at Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys Campus won’t be treading the boards in their latest production but skating on them.

The cast is going full steam ahead in dress rehearsals for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s West End hit and they have been perfecting their roller skating skills with the help of Coleg Gwent lecturer and local West End star Zeph Gould.

Will Rusty win the race and the hand of the first class coach of his dreams Pearl?
