A HORSE has been freed by fire crews after it fell through a garage in Pontypool.

The horse’s owner is at the property, along with representatives from the RSPCA, Torfaen council and Bron Afon.

An RSPCA spokeswoman said: “We were called by the fire service but by the time it had got there, it had walked out on its own accord.”

It is unclear how the horse, who was described as “fine”, fell through the garage.

Crews from New Inn and Malpas were called to a property on Viaduct Court at 3.11pm and used lines and ladders to free the animal. Firefighters from New Inn remain at the scene but those from Malpas left at 4.15pm.
