Hollywood actor Matthews Rhys has voiced a new charity film for Age Cymru.

The Welsh actor best knows for portraying Dylan Thomas in The Edge of Love and as one of the main stars of the US TV series Brothers and Sisters has lent his voice to the new charity film for Age Cymru which provide

support for the elderly in Wales.

Mr Rhys said: “I’m proud to support a national Welsh charity like Age Cymru and its local partners and that’s why I was so happy to help them out with this film. People in Wales are living longer which is something to be celebrated, but of course it brings challenges.

“That’s why the work Age Cymru and its local partners does is vital. I was amazed to learn how much they do to support older people across Wales.

He added: "They bring comfort and friendship to those who are lonely and isolated not only in rural areas but also within our busy cities and towns."

Richard Nicholls, Age Cymru’s director of income generation, said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Matthew Rhys for taking time out of his busy schedule to be the voice on our new charity film. The film promotes the support and guidance available to older people through our local partners, shops, national projects and advice line.

"We hope that people will see our film and understand that there are many different ways to get involved with Age Cymru and lots of services that we provide."
