A CWMBRAN animal sanctuary is appealing for support to help its latest arrival.
Patchy the dog was born with one eye and needs an operation to remove the remnant part of the under-developed eye.
The English Springer Spaniel was taken to All Creatures Great and Small, Llanfrechfa, more than a week ago because his owners no longer had time to care for him.
At just 16 months-old, he has already had 4 owners.
Matt Nicholls, social programmes manager at the centre said the cost of the operation, including recovery is estimated to be £500.
He said: “He is a beautiful friendly dog, now he needs a second chance in life.”
