A PLAY parachute is the latest unusual item to be handed in to Newport Bus’ lost and found department.
The accessory was discovered left on one of their buses earlier this month.
It is large and blue and is currently contained in a red plastic bag with a question mark on it.
Receptionist Claire Thomas said: “Someone obviously landed safely but then managed to forget they had it and leave it on the bus.”
She said it was one of the more unusual items to be handed in to her.
“Someone must know whose it is,” she added.
Among other items still to be reclaimed from the city bus operator are musical instruments, new items of clothing, a walking stick and a black briefcase which cannot be opened.
“We have an extensive collection here,” Ms Thomas said. “We urge people and to come and reclaim their belongings.”
