Torfaen tetrapak banks to be removed

First published in News

TETRAPAK banks are to be removed from bring sites in Torfaen.

With tetrapaks now being collected at the kerbside the local authority has selected to remove the four remaining dedicated banks at bring sites in the borough over the next two weeks.

They are based at Ponthir Village Hall, Caerleon Road, Sainsbury's, Llywelyn Road, Cwmbran Stadium, and Union Street Car Park, Abersychan.

The Ponthir bring site will be removed completely from the end of April following a request from the Ponthir Community Hall Committee.

Since February, Tetrapaks can be recycled in the black box as part of the weekly plastic collection.

I think Torfaen had better provide me with a much larger black box, the small one we have is hardly able to contain all the plastic waste we go through each week, at present. If TCBC follows others in lengthening the collection cycle..... Maybe a second wheelie bin will suffice.
