All lanes have been re-opened on the M4 following the crash that involved a car, a coach and a motorcycle.
Travel time is around 30 minutes.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 5.11pm today to reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 between junction 24 at the Coldra and junction 25 at Caerleon.
"A paramedic in a rapid response car and crew in an emergency ambulance attended, and one person was given a precautionary check-up at scene."
UPDATE: 5:42pm
TWO lanes are closed on the westbound side of the M4 in Newport after a crash between J24 at the Coldra and J25 at Caerleon.
The whole road was briefly blocked for approximately ten minutes until 5.25pm. Two lane remain closed and emergency services remaining on scene.
