PADBROOK Park’s injury hit side went out of the Palairet Memorial Trophy with a 4-1 defeat to Budleigh Salterton Town.

Keith Radbourne and Mark Perrott registered the point with a one hole win at Axe Cliff.

But the match was much closer than the overall scoreline suggests. Padbrook had to give away up to five shots in each match. Club Captain Rod Hutchings and Tom Evans lost 2&1 as did Gary Stevenson and Mike Thomas.

Padbrook Park’s Seniors have a three point lead after the home leg of the Devonwide Emerton Court event. They beat Wrangaton 3.5 – 1.5. The return leg takes places later this month.

The seniors secured an impressive 4.5-1.5 victory at Fingle Glen. They also enjoyed a comfortable 5.5-0.5 home win over Torrington.
