Now if that manhole had collapsed when a vehicle was on it we would have had a rare example of a road being responsible for an accident.

i guess this is another good example about how much effort they put in to road repairs in the 1st place.
if they did it properly in the 1st place and used something that descent stuff for the roads, then they would surely not collapse. bet this will be a quick fix job that will wear down in a few months and cause it to be a pot hole.

Exactly, but what I would like to know, WHO is responsible for signing it off?, somebody from either Highways, NCC or Traffic had to go inspect the completed ( or not ) road surface, they must have sent a Blind Person.

Whatever happened to taking a pride in the job and doing the job properly, they have all the latest equipment now known to man, rather than the old days of gangs of men and shovels... and they still make a hash of it...

Suppose this is what happens when JOBS get tendered out.. to any joe bloggs or Bodgit and Scarper.
