MORE than 20 fire fighters rescued a horse trapped in deep water in a reen in Wentloog near Newport this morning.
Fire fighters from Malpas, Roath, Cardiff Central and Bridgend were called to the scene at 6.52am to find the horse was stuck up to its neck in water.
Using inflatable walkways and lines the 23 fire fighters rescued the horse using large animal rescue gear.
Two officers also attended, said a spokeswoman for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
They left the scene at 8.36am.
