FIRE fighters are tackling grass fires in Abertillery and Pontllanfraith. A crew from Aberbargoed was called to the blaze at Pontllanfraith, near Bryn Stores at 6.15pm. Two crews from Abertillery and Blaina responded to reports of a mountain fire at Valley View, Abertillery, at 6.10pm and are currently using two pumps to tackle the scrub land blaze which covers 80metres by 80metres.
