FAMILIES can go back in time and meet the Tudors this weekend at Raglan Castle.

Cadw will be hosting the event on May 31 and June 1, with have-a-go archery, interactive Tudor costume sessions and a spectacular re-enactment of the Battle of Bosworth all involved.

The event will run from 11am and 4pm with plenty to see and do.

More eagled eyed visitors may also spot Henry VIII himself roaming around the grounds of the castle, intent on causing mischief.

In addition, traditional Tudor watering hole 'The Stagger Inn' will be on-site for thirsty revellers, complete with both two bars – one for Yorkists and one for Lancastrian supporters.

Jane McIlquham, custodian at Raglan Castle, said: “The Tudor Weekend is set to be a marvellous event with a variety of quirky activities and visual spectacles on offer to help our visitors travel back in time and re-live Raglan’s rich Tudor past.”
