A MALPAS family are celebrating their success as siblings reap the rewards of their talents.

Zack Ali, eight, has scored a contract with Cardiff City F.C. this month. The football star started playing football aged six when he was asked to join in at a skills session his brother was attending.

At the end of the session his mum, Nia Ali, was asked if he could come to a trial for the prep squad at Cardiff City where he has played for the last two years.

Earlier this month Zack signed a two year contact with the squad and is thrilled at his success.

He said: “I’m so happy.

“I am really lucky to be selected as I love playing and the coaches are brilliant.”

Zack has played Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and many more, as well as having meeting John Terry.

Meanwhile his sister Yasmin, 12, has been crowned junior Miss Gwent since winning the pageant earlier this year and is a finalist in Miss Junior Great Britain.

The final will be held in Blackpool on August 28.

Yasmin said: “It’s really exciting and I hope to raise money for Claire’s House.”

Their mum is proud of her children’s achievements.
