A CWMBRAN bride whose wedding day went viral after she was spotted in a supermarket in her wedding dress, has been treated to a honeymoon makeover by her local shopping centre.

Cwmbran Shopping offered Anna Savery, 39, a luxury makeover after she found fame from an online video of her wedding day shop.

Mrs Savery married her partner of four years James, 26, on Saturday May 24 at a ceremony in Pontypool Registry office, which was attended by 40 guests.

The ceremony was followed by a meal at the nearby Irie Shack, a Caribbean-style bar and grill restaurant.

After originally having no plans after the meal, the bride and groom decided to throw an impromptu wedding party at Anna’s mother’s house. On realising that the party would need more food and drinks, Anna volunteered to pop to the nearby Asda, still in her wedding dress.

The wedding was a double celebration, as the couple’s youngest child, Ethan, also celebrated his first birthday on the day of the wedding. Anna has another two children, eight-year-old Dylan and two-year-old Elise.

The luxury makeover came courtesy of Hairspray Cwmbran, Clinique at House of Fraser, and Yours Clothing, all based at the centre.

Mrs Savery said: “I’m so thankful to Cwmbran Shopping for giving me an amazing luxury makeover, I feel like a princess.

“I sourced most of the items for my wedding from local retailers, including James’ suit, the groomsmen’s suits and the rings as well as buying the flowers from the InShops.

“It has been a manic couple of weeks, and I couldn’t believe the publicity I got from shopping in Asda in my wedding dress.

Our wedding day was fantastic, and I’m on top of the world at the moment, especially now I’ve had this lovely makeover. I can’t wait to show the family my new look.”
