NEWPORT rappers, Goldie Lookin Chain, have released their unofficial World Cup anthem, The Andy Townsend Rap.

The rap may be dedicated to the famous commentator and retired Irish footballer, but that's not to say the band are his biggest fans.

The chorus features: "Pass, shoot, it's goal. Andy Townsend should be on the dole."

Forget Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull's 'We Are One', the GLC boys are tring to explain a "problem that's affecting the entire nation."

And no prize for guessing who this particular problem is.

GLC's past hits include, Fresh Prince of Cwmbran, Half man half machine and Your missus is a nutter.

What I find offensive is this paper's continual transposition of "affect" and "effect".
