A PAINTER from Newbridge has achieved his biggest billing yet after exhibiting his work at the weigh-in before the Wembley Froch v. Groves boxing match.

Patrick Killian has previously shown his work to boxers Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, but this is the first time he has exhibited on such a scale.

Wembley Stadium, next to the Arena, has a capacity of 90,000 and crowds turned out to watch Carl Froch’s knock-out win against George Groves on May 31, one of the biggest sporting events of 2014.

Mr Killian painted the pair prior to the fight, and the painting was hung outside the weigh-in room before being moved to the Hilton London Wembley.

The piece, measuring 56 inches by 44 inches, was signed by Froch and Groves, their trainers and promoter Eddie Hearn.

Mr Killian said: “It couldn’t have gone any better.”
