A 75-YEAR-OLD man remains in a critical condition after a collision in Cwmbran yesterday morning.

The pedestrian has now been transferred to the University Hospital of Wales.

A man arrested following the collision, which happened at around 9.45am yesterday morning, has now been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The 26-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of careless driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

The collision involved a blue people carrier and happened at the car wash on Llantarnam Road, Cwmbran Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 quoting log 237 22/06/14.
