CAERPHILLY council is to delay charging at at its household waste recycling centres while it provides clarification over the scheme.

The new charging system was due to come into force yesterday.

Cllr David Poole, cabinet member for community and leisure said: “We will take further advice about the charging categories and waste definitions in order to provide absolute clarity on the scheme to be introduced."

The council’s previous policy relating to household waste recycling centres will remain in place while these issues are discussed in more detail.
