CALDICOT library will host a free community event on August 4 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Britain’s entry into the First World War.
The event will feature readings and a performance from musicians 'The Banned'.
Resident historian Peter Strong will perform MC duties and those attending will be encouraged to enter into the communal atmosphere.
The Friends of Caldicot Library have been instrumental in organising this event, the first in a series the library will hold to mark the centenary of the First World War.
Tickets can be collected from Caldicot Library for the event which starts at 7.30pm.
