THE SKY'S the limit for Rebecca Jeffery, 29, when it comes to raising money for the RSPCA.

She has booked a nerve-wracking skydive in order to raise a target of £500 for Newport's RSPCA Animal Centre. The exhilarating task involves her jumping out of a plane at around 12,000 feet above ground level. She will be taking this thrilling leap on Saturday, August 2.

She said: “I just thought, ‘I’m going to jump out of a plane’ and within 10 minutes I had booked it,”

The RSPCA currently holds over 100 animals including dogs, cats and rabbits and Rebecca has said that her primary aim is to buy some new agility equipment so fun activities can be held for the public. She wants people to be able to do exciting activities while spending time with the dogs at the same time.

Her target is to raise is £500 at a minimum. This amount will make a vast impact to the amount of equipment they currently have. She has raised around £200 online and £150 offline and will be getting as many people as she can to sponsor her. She is also hoping that people will sponsor her once she has done the dive.

She said “I am really excited about it. I’ve done a bungee jump before but I’ve never jumped out of a plane!”
