A FORMER lorry driver from Newport who scooped £45.5 million in a EuroMillions win with his wife is now starring in a new TV series.

The programme will follow the fortunes of some of the biggest lottery winners in Wales and hits screens on ITV Cymru tonight [Monday, August 4] at 8pm.

The series of four episodes will take viewers into the homes of six winners to reveal just how lottery luck has transformed their lives.

The lottery winners, who have a combined wealth of £60 million, will also take part in a restoration charity project on a stretch of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at Cwmbran.

Also featured in the series will be Meredith Davies, from Llansawel, Carmarthenshire, Lyn Sexton and Ian Pearce, from Merthyr, Barry and Yvonne Bradley from Llanelli, Chris and Geraldine Bradley, from Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire and Paul and Denise Hardware, originally from Cardiff.

Recently, former lorry driver and mechanic Mr Scadding was among a handful of Welsh winners to give up their time to join a restoration project on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at Llantarnam.

He took part in the Waterworks project-led by Torfaen Council and the Monmouthshire, Brecon and Abergavenny Canals Trust. The project has received £845,500 of Heritage Lottery Fund support.

Among the tasks they carried out were cutting back vegetation, repainting stonework, building lock gates and cleaning and painting a canal work boat.
