THE rain held off and the sun even shone on those who took part in a family play day at Newport’s Tredegar Park yesterday.
Dozens turned out to the family fun play day hosted by Newport City council at Tredegar Park as part of the national Playday campaign to highlight the importance of play in children's lives.
Running from 11am to 3pm the day saw families take part in a host of free activities including arts and crafts, face painting, tennis activities, and story time sessions with Newport libraries.
