PENSIONERS are celebrating after winning a prestigious garden award for the second year running.
Residents at the Belle View retirement housing scheme in Cwmbran have created a “wonderful” space featuring a wildflower area, bee-friendly plants and garden club, winning them a green flag community award.
The garden in Belle View Road was developed by residents with staff from landlord Bron Afon and volunteers from the Aspire befriending service.
Belle Vue resident Ricky Edwards, 68, said: “We are over the moon to win the green flag award for the second year running.”
Bron Afon chief executive Duncan Forbes added: “I congratulate Ricky Edwards and the other residents at Belle Vue for their well deserved win.”
