A counter summit opposing the Nato conference at the Celtic Manor will take place at the Dolman Theatre in Newport.
Two days of talks have been announced by CND (the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) taking place in Cardiff and Newport.
County Hall in Cardiff Bay will hold the event on August 31 and it will move to the Dolman on September 1.
The programme includes talks and workshops on combating drones, the militarisation of the EU, Iraq: war and crisis, closing all military bases and future actions for the European peace movement.
International speakers will attend including Sami Ramadani from the Iraqi Democrats, Roger Cole, who founded the Peace and Neutrality Alliance from Ireland and Tobias Pflüger, a German politician who represented the left Die Linke.
