A NEWPORT conveyancer is preparing to take on his biggest fundraising challenge yet when he tackles the Wall of Death as part of his three peaks attempt this bank holiday.

Convey Law conveyancer Geraint Aubrey, will be tackling three of the most formidable mountains in the Bernese Alps, within just three days.

The challenge will include the notorious Eiger – famous for its ‘Wall of Death’ ascent. The three mountains Geraint will have to tackle are: Mount Monch at 13,468 ft, The Eiger at 13,025 ft and Mount Jungfrau at 13,642 ft.

The challenge will be undertaken over the course of three days with Mr Aubrey spending the nights on the mountain and setting out for 12 hours of endurance climbing each day.

In preparation, he has undertaken over 12 months of intense training, including a special session with the Newport Gwent Dragons’ Strength and Conditioning Team.

So far, with the aid of Convey Law, Mr Aubrey has raised over £10,000 for Cancer Research UK and hopes to add another £5,000 to the final total.

This week his colleagues at Convey Law hosted a farewell fundraiser by dressing up in their ‘Eiger Tiger’ ears and T-Shirts in support.

“I am very excited to get the challenge underway, after over 12 months of preparation, I feel fit and raring to go,” Mr Aubrey said.

“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and donated to Cancer Research UK so far.

"Particularly, I would to thank Lloyd and the team at Convey Law who have been amazing in their support and fundraising for what is a truly wonderful cause.”

Lloyd Davies, Managing Director at Convey Law added: “On behalf of all the staff at Convey Law, I would like to wish Geraint the very best of luck on his expedition.

“What Geraint is undertaking is nothing short of exceptional and his dedication to his training and fundraising has been a wonderful example to us all.”
