CHILDREN in Need mascot Pudsey Bear paid a visit to the University of South Wales’s City Campus in Newport yesterday (Thur) for a special music activity day.
Run by the Dyscovery Centre at the University, the event saw children from Newport and the surrounding areas take part in music activities as part of a summer holiday scheme.
The Dyscovery Centre was set up more than 15 years ago to provide services for children and adults with developmental disorders, including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Dyscalculia.
The aim of the activity days was to provide a safe environment for children, aged between six and 13, to explore their creative ideas, make new friends and counter barriers to participation.
