A police appeal has been launched after dogs ripped a woman's clothing on a Newport canal path
TWO dogs jumped up at a woman and ripped her clothing during an incident on a Newport canal path.
A 46-year-old woman was walking her dogs along the path between Malpas Brook and Kimberley Park from 7pm to 8pm on Sunday, August 17 when a man rode past her on a bike with two black and tan Doberman dogs off leads.
The dogs jumped up at the woman and bit into her clothing causing it to rip and the man rode off in the direction of Kimberley Park.
The man is described as being white, aged between 28 and 30, of muscular build and with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting log 455 17/08/14.
