A NEW Welsh medium nursery building has been opened by Torfaen MP Paul Murphy.
Ysgol Cymraeg Cwmbran on Henllys Way has 58 spaces for children to begin their bilingual journey and is filling up quickly.
At the opening on Friday, Torfaen MP Paul Murphy said: “It was a pleasure to be able to open the new nursery building and speak to so many people who are passionate about providing a first class education for our children.
"I wish the pupils, staff and governors at Ysgol Gymraeg Cwmbran all the best for a successful year and a bright future.”
Head teacher Edward Jones said: “Everyone knows the advantages that being bilingual brings for a child's development.
"All communication with parents is done in English and in Welsh, I’d be happy to show any parent around and answer any questions they may have.”
