The body of a man has been found in Malpas.
Police are currently in attendance at the scene on Pillmawr Road, between Malpas and Caerleon.
Crime scene investigators are also reported to be near the cycle lane entrance.
Gwent Police inspector Karen Evans said: "We were called to a location in the Malpas area at 9.34am this morning where officers discovered the body of a male in a hut.
"His identity has yet to be confirmed and that there is no evidence of foul play. The death is being treated as unexplained and a post mortem will now take place.
"Anyone with information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 155November2."
