COLD START: Much of Gwent stated the day below freezing today
TODAY will be see a dry and frosty start. Cloud, rain, heavy in the west, and strengthening winds will spread southeast from midday, easing by dusk. Turning somewhat milder for many. The maximum temperature is 8C.
Tonight, rain will clear southeast before midnight leaving a mostly clear night. This will allow temperatures to drop close to freezing giving some frost. The minimum temperature is 1C.
Saturday will see a chilly start to the day with plenty of winter sunshine for many. Winds will ease, the best of the sunshine towards the eastern parts of the country, through the afternoon. The maximum temperature is 7C.
