PUPILS from Duffryn High School visited the National Assembly for Wales this week as part of their Welsh Baccalaureate class.
Newport AM Dame Rosemary Butler welcomed pupils who were shown the Neuadd, Oriel and Siambr gallery, to learn more about the workings of the Assembly and how decision that are made there affect their lives.
Jordan Nassen who is a pupil at Duffryn High School said: “I learnt that no matter who you are, where you’re from we should all stand up and get our voice heard”
Carol Robling who is a teacher at Duffryn High School said: “The class learnt a great deal, the tour guide made it fun and interesting and the pupils really enjoyed. We’ll definitely be back next year!”
