ANOTHER top name has been added to the list of stars scheduled to play in Chepstow this summer.
The Levellers will play at Chepstow Castle on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31, as part of the Castell Roc festival.
Last week it was announced that chart toppers Blue will play at the castle on August 30 as part of nine nights of entertainment.
Folk rock band The Levellers were formed in Brighton in 1988 and have built a big cult following for their energetic live performances.
They played in front of the largest crowd recorded at the Glastonbury Festival in 1994.When they headlined the Pyramid stage on the Friday night of the festival, it is thought they played to a crowd of about 300,000 people.
Other acts playing the festival include Newport’s Goldie Lookin’ Chain on August 26, Bellowhead on August 27 and ELO Again on August 29.
And From The Jam and Bad Manners’ Bruce Foxton will play at the Mod: Ska Gold, playing some of the songs that made the bands famous including Going Underground, That’s Entertainment, A Town Called Malice, My Girl Lollipop and Lip Up Fatty on August 22.
Tickets are strictly limited and are available at Hannah’s Music on Moor Street in Chepstow or on the festival website, castellroc.co.uk
