UPDATE 11.31am:

Eight school pupils and a driver were involved in this morning's crash.

Gwent Police said they were called to the road traffic accident on the Old Hereford Road in Abergavenny at approximately 7.45am this morning. No one was trapped or seriously injured but the driver and one pupil were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital as a precaution.

The parents of the school children have all been informed of the incident, and the road which was closed in both directions has now re-opened.

Officers are now investigating the circumstances of the collisions and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to ring 101 quoting log 39 06/02/15.

UPDATE 8.44am:

Gwent Police said officers are currently dealing with the minibus crash on the Old Hereford Road.

Ofiicers were called to the one-vehicle collision at 7.45am this morning. There are no reports of injuries.

The road is currently closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.

 

UPDATE 8.30am: Eight people were in the minibus which overturned this morning, South Wales Fire and Rescue have confirmed.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said nobody was trapped and all passengers were out of the vehicle when they arrived.

One person is currently "in the hands of the paramedic for checks".

One crew from Abergavenny arrived at the incident which involved just one vehicle on the Old Hereford Road in Pantygelli. Police and ambulance services were also called.

 

UPDATE 8.15am: A minibus has overturned and power cables have fallen down in a road accident this morning.

 

The Old Hereford Road in Abergavenny is currently losed in both directions between the Pantygelli junction and the Llanvihangel Crucorney junction.

 

Friday, February 6, 7.52am: FIRE crews are currently on their way to a road traffic accident reported on the Old Hereford Road in Pantygelli.

A spokesman from South Wales Fire and Rescue said they are currently on their way to the scene of the accident and are awaiting further details.
