SUPPORT is pouring in for an Argus reporter who will be abseiling down the Newport Transporter Bridge to raise funds for a Gwent hospice.
Estel Farell-Roig will be one of the people taking part in an abseil from the bridge on Saturday, October 7 to raise money for the paper’s 125 Appeal.
Ahead of the abseil, the 23-year-old is looking for individuals and companies to sponsor her.
So far, sponsors include Chepstow Racecourse, who made a £50 donation to her fundraising page, and an anonymous sponsor, who donated the same amount.
“I hope I can raise as much as money as I can,” said Ms Farell-Roig.
The Barcelona-born reporter has raised £277 so far and will be holding a lunch sale on October 5 to raise more funds.
