STARS Vernon Kay and Ronan Keating are the latest to join teams at the Celtic Manor’s Celebrity Cup.

The event running from July 4-5 will see golf played between teams of celebrities representing England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales at the resort.

Vernon Kay, presenter of ITV’s All Star Family Fortunes and new daytime quiz show 1,000 Heartbeats, will make his debut in the England team which won the Celebrity Cup last summer.

While former Boyzone singer Ronan Keating will rejoin the Irish team along with bandmate Keith Duffy and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden for Ireland.after getting his first taste of the action in 2014.

“I'm really looking forward to playing in the Celebrity Cup for the first time this summer,” Vernon Kay said.

“I love my golf and I've heard some great things from some of the other guys who have competed before, about what a fun time they always have at this event.

“Let's hope we can keep the Celebrity Cup in English hands again this year and raise a lot of money for the Caron Keating Foundation while we're at it.”

In the England team, Vernon Kay is joined by Rugby World Cup winner Mike Tindall and Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones who have both competed in the event for the last two years.

Hollywood actor Dougray Scott is another player returning to the fold when he lines up for Scotland with a trio of football legends, Kenny Dalglish, Alan Hansen and Gordon Strachan.

Television stars Rob Brydon, Philip Glenister and Gethin Jones will spearhead the home challenge for Wales in the round-robin format of nine-hole matches on Celtic Manor’s Roman Road course, culminating in a grand final and third place play-off on Sunday afternoon.

Following the game stars will take part in Q&A interviews and guest can enjoy live music in the tented village and join the celebs for a glittering gala dinner on the Saturday evening.
