Now known as Douglas, he has no recollection of his former life after being hit over the head and thrown off a cliff by mum Liz (Eileen McCallum) and wife Gina (Libby McArthur).
He made a shock return to the soap on Christmas Day as the Addams family were having their lunch at a hotel.
Now back in Shieldinch, the confused and destitute Douglas ends up on the receiving end of a brutal beating from his ex-friend and colleague Gerry (John Paul McGilvray).
However, mum Liz steps in as Gerry beats him to a pulp. River City, BBC1, 8.30pm, tomorrow.
